People move to San Diego from other parts of the country and can't believe how small some of our houses are and the price tag that they come along with especially here in North Park.North Park is an urban neighborhood close to downtown, airport, beaches, restaurants and just a pretty cool neighborhood.

In some parts of the east coast or the mid west you can find mansions for 300 thousand dollars while in most parts of San Diego 300 thousand will not get too much of a house. The difference is that here in San Diego you really don't need that much space. Our weather is beautiful most of the time and if you have a little out door space then that space becomes part of your living space.

I reside in North Park which is a neighborhood where the average home is about 1000 sq ft. My home sits on a 5000 sq ft lot and is just about 900 sq ft. Well that sounds pretty small to the average person coming from the Midwest but in reality what I have created is indoor outdoor living. It's pretty easy to do. I have French Doors on 3 sides of my home, decks on 2 sides, There is an out door dining area along with several seating areas, a portable fire pit and out door lighting. I have converted my garage into a magnificent office where I added skylights and French Doors as well.

So basically what I am trying to convey is that although you may think that our homes in San Diego may be too small for you to consider buying because you are just not used to small spaces, in reality they are not small at all. We get to use every square inch of our property all year long. It's a beautiful thing.
