President Obama is sponsoring a free workshop for Homeowners in trouble  with their mortgages where one can get some help.  This will be held on Thurs. Oct 21st at the San Diego Convention Center.  There will be Loan Officers from 15 Lenders and Loan Servicing Companies from 1pm-7:30PM to help homeowners modify their loans and/or go through informational process on their current modification. If you are in trouble with your mortgage or know of someone who is, this would be a good place to go and get the information directly from the sources.
