Thumbs up to Bank of America for offering to help the military by offering new programs that will help them if they are behind of payments when leaving active duty.

Word is that they are planning on decreasing the amount owed on the mortgage.  It will be considered a "Lump sum foregiveness".

There is also talk about rates being reduced to 4% for those elegible for the Service members Civil Relief Act.

I do hope that since they said that they will do this , they will and it will not end up like all the talk that there was about loan modification for those that were in need in the last couple of years and never really happened.
